Our only Countryman C18 son, a young bull showing many characteristics of his grandsire, Hazeldean D56; hardy, tough, agile and meaty, well muscled with a marker of top 10% for marbling. A terrific forager on the tough agistment country he runs on; his first calves have just hit the ground.
What can we say about this bull !! He is doing all that we could have asked for, and is every thing we have worked towards over the years. He is the complete package, a meat machine; passing on length, muscle, agility, fertility and just the right amount of fat cover. His temperament is faultless , & being passed on to his progeny. In January 2014, Boss weighed in at 1005 kg, in the paddock on grass only, depastured with cows; his feet are perfect! Boss is breeding on a consistent & easily identifiable good even line of sons & daughters. Boss’ progeny has given us some of the best weight gains we’ve ever had on grass. His daughters are feminine, fertile, milky, & wonderful mothers, blessed with beautiful soft coats and good heads. His fertile sons are tireless workers, and put meat on the bones of their progeny. Boss has been used over medium framed heifers without calving problems.
His pedigree on the Angus website shows Breed Plan figures, and dreadful ones at that; it just shows how “magic” Breed Plan is! His dam’s family have no figures, and we have never used Breed Plan. These figures are totally unrelated to his performance as proven by his progeny, their performance in the commercial herds they’ve gone to speak for themselves.
A promising young bull by Hazeldean D56.
Unfortunately died from snake bite shortly after being depastured with heifers; giving us only a handful of very good looking progeny.

A W8 son out of one of our best K 67 daughters.Born the day American Angus breeder Bill Doyle came to inspect our cattle, hence the name! A bigger framed, low birthweight bull; a complete contradiction given his genetics. He has produced bigger softer daughters and larger framed sons, (what would Breed Plan say to this !!). His first sons are ready for sale; unfortunately, due to “bull overload” we have recently, very reluctantly sold “Bill” to repeat clients, “Mt .Mitchell Station”, Glen Innes. N.S.W

"We operate an Angus, Angus/cross beef herd 150 miles west of Melbourne, breeding vealers to sell directly to the abattoir at weaning which is at, or about 10 months of age. We have been using
Sarum Boss for two years, & Sarum Freddie for one year in our A.I. Programmes,….the calves to date from both bulls have been outstanding , head and shoulders over any other Angus genetics we have ever used. We would highly recommend either of these bulls for depth, width and most importantly weight !!"
